BTI serves as experts in matters of arbitration and mediation to determine if a settlement can be reached before going court. Occasionally, it is binding arbitration stopping the need for any further litigation. To illustrate, BTI recently appraised 165 commercial properties in a binding arbitration over a partnership dissolution. BTI's concluded values were relied upon for purposes of allocating the properties among the partners.
