BTI conducts appraisals of residential, industrial and commercial real estate in order to ensure proper coverage based on the current replacement costs. BTI has appraised most of the high rise condominiums on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood and Marina del Rey expressly for this purpose. 

Regarding claims, BTI can be involved in an insurance claim prior to the appraisal clause being invoked. This often occurs with larger or catastrophic losses.  For example, BTI evaluated several hundred mobile homes destroyed by fire in a mobile home park for an insurance company. Evaluations after the Northridge Earthquake and LA Riots are other examples.
